Evolving immersive sounscape created live on site from the sounds and voices of Harwich
An interactive, evolving, site specific soundscape created from the environment of Cliff Park's Bandstand and the surrounding area of Harwich. Blending installation, community participation, and digital engagement.
Transforming Cliff Park Bandstand into a living instrument and the community into co-composers, this project delivers the collective memory & voice of the landscape.
Installed in the bandstand, the Lost Sound Project will create live interactive compositions using the sounds and voices of the people. Collected throughout June 2026 using an online recording tool accessed using the QR code below, and in person during the event by visiting the Bandstand on Saturday 27th June 2026 between 11am and 4pm, and recording your sounds into the microphones.
The collected sounds will be composed into a site specific musical soundscape which will be performed in the bandstand on Sunday 28th June 2026 from 5-6pm.
