Rury's Grad
VJ collaboration
Video Designer Ruairidh Nelson invited me to collaborate with him as musician for his graduation project.
We spent several evenings jamming in the studio at Guildhall. He liked the world music vibe of my tunes and decided to create visuals inspired by patterns from the nations and cultures where the samples had originated.
All the songs were resurrected from laterday Brains archive material. Back then I was primarily making music using samples taken from world music records, CD's borrowed from local libraries, obscure cassette tapes found in strange places, and dusty records bought in second hand shops. This an excerpt from the live performance.
