Giant model libraries were constructed in Essex libraries using large cardboard sheets. The 3D playhouses were opened up so that children could play inside the model libraries.

Following an architectural survey, CAD drawings were created of each library and used to create accurate large scale models from cardboard.

​

These drawings were also used to create a drawing activity sheet and local schools were invited to take part in a drawing competition inspired by their local libraries.

 

The winning entry received a visit to their school by the artist who created a further scultural work inspired by the wining design.
